Some of Oreo's Bigger Wins to date:

06/01/08 - WoooHooo WHAT A YEAR!! Oreo has finished 2007 as the #1 JAPANESE SPITZ MALE IN QLD & THE #5 JAPANESE SPITZ IN AUSTRALIA on the Dogzonline Pointscore (http://www.dogzonline.com.au/showdog2007/topbybreed.asp?breed=1060)!

I am very proud of Oreo’s achievement throughout 2007… after returning from a year long trip to New Zealand in 2006 where he was UNBEATEN for Best of Breed; Oreo’s winning run didn’t stop there… Oreo took out 21 Best of Breeds and 29 Dog CC (Championship Shows Only) in 2007 with a further 12 RU Best of Breeds alot of these being from Reserve CC … and this is from a mere 40 odd shows we attended through 2007 making only 8 shows where Oreo wasn’t in the winner circle!!! No bad hey!!

Some of his impressive results include Best of Breeds and RU Best of Breed at some of Australia’s & Queensland’s biggest shows:
• Best of Breed - Adelaide Autumn International [Day 1] Mr C. Stefanescu (Romania)
• RU Best of Breed - Adelaide Autumn International [Day 2] Mr S. Hanaue (Japan)
• Best of Breed - Adelaide Autumn International [Day 3] Mr D. Markus (Canada)
• Best of Breed - Royal Canine Autumn Classic [Day 2 AM] Mr A. Johnson (WA)
• RU Best of Breed - Royal Canine Autumn Classic [Day 2 PM] Mrs J. Kirin (ACT)
• Best of Breed and Australian Bred in Group - IKC "Winter Carnival" Mr D. Harrison (Sth Africa)
• Best of Breed - Western Suburbs Kennel Club "Winter Carnival" Mr Tan Oo Hock (Malaysia)
• Dog CC & RU Best of Breed - Victorian Spitz Breeds Club Mrs W. Slatyer (NSW))
• Best of Breed - Beaudesert Kennel Club Mr S Shen (Singapore)

With his most impressive show win for 2007 being RUNNER-UP BEST IN GROUP & AUSTRALIAN BRED IN GROUP at the Gundog & Heavy Breeds Club of Qld under Mrs C. Byrnes-Suchy (NSW) held at Durack with a group entry of over 100.

2008 will be the year where Oreo takes the back seat while his first Australian litter takes to the ring… He has 2 beautiful babies who hopefully will be following in his Dad’s foot steps.

rule

19/08/07 - After a short break from the ring, Oreo has come back in true style taking Runner-Up BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP & Australian Bred in Group at the Gundog and Heavy Breeds Club of Qld Specialty Show under judge Mrs C. Byrnes-Suchy (NSW). Plus Runner-Up Best of Breed from Puppy class was Esilanna KisMi Sishi (out of Ch. Kimyata Spirite Away) and our gorgeous little bitch Kimyata Deja Vous taking Reserve Chllenge Bitch from Junior class (both over a mature bitch)... WooooHooo!!!

The judge was a lovely lady who really took her time to go over the breed, she also took the time after judging to comment on how lovely she thought Oreo was. I was very excited to have Oreo take Runner-Up Best Exhibit in Group and at such a big she with a large entry... I am a very proud Mum! It was pouring down rain by the time we got to General Specials and Oreo has had enough... however he did get a very good look from the General Specials judge Mr  J. Forbes (NSW) before he awarded Best Australian Bred in Show to the Newfy!

09/07/07 - I returned late last night from a VERY wet Melbourne... it appears the good old fashioned law of it peeing down rain when I travel has not let me down <lol> I had a very jammed packed 2 days in Melbourne staying with Pam Taylor of Glendaruel Japanese Spitz and her four legged family. It was great to finally see my Kyra "Ch. Kimyata Butterfly Effect" in the flesh as well as the progeny down from her. Kyra is a spitting image of her Mother Ch. Snowmagic Silva Angel.... and she has the same "lovely" habit of demanding your attention ever second and if ignored pawing you until you give in <lol>. :))

On the Sunday I attended the Victorian Spitz Breeds Club show, it was a lovely set up (inside, thankfully). It was a very busy start to the day, and I was exhausted after the judging of the Japanese Spitz, helping Pam show her 5 Japanese Spitz, I have never been so busy in the ring and preparing ring side <lol>!! I was very excited to have Oreo "Aust Ch/ NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud" take Dog Challenge and RU best of Breed out of an entry of 11 Japanese Spitz... Judge: Mrs W. Slayter (NSW). I received some lovely comments about Oreo from fellow exhibitors within the Japanese Spitz breed and those attending the show. However the judge did take her time which meant I was unable to stay and watch the general Specials as I had to fly back to Sunny Qld... I did enjoy my trip and I think that the Melbourne Royal may be added to my trip list :))

30/06/07 - I have had a few weeks off showing recently as I just moved into a new place, so this has taken up a lot of my time... We had our first "show" back today with some wonderful results. It was the C.C.C.Q Sweepstakes Carnival which was held for the first time this year, it is a Sweepstakes event which is all breeds within a Group competing for a placing (1st-5th) in their age class or Champion or Non Champion class. Oreo was entered in the Champion Sweepstakes for Group 7 and was awarded 2nd place from a panel of 5 judges Mrs J. Ireland, Mr s. Arrowsmith, Mr R. Ellis, Mrs. J Edwards and Mrs A Everson. I was very happy with the results, as there were up to 20 dogs entered in the Champion Sweepstakes including 4 Grand Champions... for Oreo to be acknowledged by a panel of judges is very impressive!!

rule

16/06/07 - QKC double header shows this weekend with some mixed results... Our gorgeous Astryd is currently in season at the moment, which is always the way as she was just starting to get a nice coat and was the reason I entered these two shows knowing the judge would like her "type", so I have just been showing Oreo (who loves being centre of attention). Oreo is awarded Best of Breed at the Saturday show under Mrs P. Hall (NSW), she was not very interested in the Japanese Spitz breed at all and played the Poodle game.

I am very happy with Oreo's run of wins lately, he has consistantly taken Best of breed since his return from New Zealand in late January (his first show being 3rd February), all his CC points and Best of Breeds were received against adult comptetion and some of his points include 10 and 11 point Best Of Breed's... which for a rare breed is an excellent result. He has also taken out a number of class in group awards including Australian Bred in Group at teh IKC Winter Carnival show with entries over 1250. I hope he continues his winning ways throughout 2007, as I thoroughly enjoy showing my special boy!!

11//06/07 - The Winter Carnival is one of the biggest shows of the year here in Sunny Queensland, and with an entry close to 1300 both days it was a great turn out... I was very excited to take out Best of Breed and Best Australian Bred in Group with Oreo 'Aust Ch/ NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud under Judge: Mr D. Harrison (Sth Africa) on day one. It was a huge lineup for Australian Bred in Group including some very stiff competition, Oreo also actually made it back into the General Specials and got a VERY nice look from the judge (who originally ignored Oreo, until we did our turn and that seemed to grab his attention). The General Specials judging didn't finish until about 6:30pm... very long day!!

On the second day, Oreo was again awarded Best of Breed under Judge was Mr Tan Oo Hock (Malaysia), he did get a really good look again for Australian Bred in Group but was piped at the post this time . So all in all a good weekend with awesome results!!!

rule

20/05/07 - Oreo continues his good run with another day another 2 shows... Gold Cost Canine Club Autumn International was held for the first time this year, with wonderful entries of almost 1000. There were 2 shows, one in the morning and one in the afternoon with 10 Japanese Spitz entered at both shows... I was excited to have Oreo take Best of Breed at the first show under Mrs. J. Kirin (ACT) and again taking RU Best of Breed at the second show under Mr A. Johnson (WA).

Oreo was also taken into Junior Handlers by a very talented young handler named Melissa. I must say I was a little jealous with how well they performed together and Oreo just did everything as expected, they went on to be placed first in the Senior class against a very strong lineup.

rule

19/05/07 - WooHooo... Oreo is awarded Best of Breed at Brookfield Show under Mrs S. Barrett (NZ) and goes on to be Shortlisted for Best in Group (sadly Best in Group came from Australian Bred so Oreo couldn't go back in for his class in group). The judge commented that Oreo was a "delightful young man" and further commented to another exhibitor that she was very impressed with the quality of JS exhibited. Oreo showed beautifully and it was lovely to receive such praise from the judge.

rule

07/05/07 - This weekend we travelled to Kingaroy and Wondai to attend the 3 day shows this weekend. We had some wonderful results with Oreo taking Best of Breed and OPEN IN GROUP at ALL 3 shows... Oreo was awarded Best of Breed and Open in Group at Burnett Kennel Club Inc [CH] under Judge: Mr M. Arthur (NSW), Best of Breed and Open in Group at Burnett Kennel Club Inc [OP] under Judge Mr A. Brown (Qld) and Best of Breed and Open in Group at South Burnett National Show Society [CH] under Judge Miss J. Ainscow (Qld). He had some lovely competition over the weekend and behaved beautifully... I am very happy with his results!!!

rule

22/04/07 - This weekend we travelled to Rockhampton (10 hours away) to visit my mother's Aunty and Grandmother. On our way home we attended the Mt Perry Show, Mt Perry is a country town west of Bundaberg. It was very hot, dry and dusty day. Oreo was awarded Best of Breed and Astryd Challenge Bitch, Astryd then went on to take Puppy in Group out of a nice entry of puppies. My mother also took Best of Breed with her Cavalier Cardi who now has 83 points to go towards his Grand title... one of Mum's younger boys Brock also took Minor in Group. It was a nice but long day...

rule

10/04/07 - More show results... A double header shows this weekend at Durack with Oreo being awarded Dog CC & RU Best of Breed both days and Astryd being awarded Res. Challenge Bitch both days. Astryd is starting to get a lot of consideration from the judges and I evisage a bright show future ahead of her.

rule

02/04/07 - Kimyata had a very successful weekend, with lovely results over the two days. On Saturday we attended the Warwick Show and Rodeo Socitey under Mr S. Warry (WA), Oreo "Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud" was awarded Best of Breed against some lovely competition (10 points) and our cheeky puppy Astryd "Kimyata Deja Vous" was awarded Reserve Challenge and Puppy of Breed. It was a day of very close possibilities with Astyrd getting a very good consideration for Challenge bitch and Oreo a very LONG look for Best in Group, sadly Best In Group came from Australian Bred Class so he didn't get to go back in again.

On the Sunday we attended the Sunshine Coast Kennel Club show with judge Mr G. Russell, Oreo was once again awarded Best of Breed (10 points) and this time a very naughty Astryd was awarded Reserve Challenge and Puppy of Breed.

So far this year Oreo has had very consistant results, out of 11 shows this year Oreo has been awarded Best of Breed 8 times, and RU Best of Breed 2 more times (at no show was Oreo the only Japanese Spitz entered and consistantly had mature and titled competition). 2 of his Best of Breeds highlight the Pedigree Autumn International under International judges from Canada and Romania. Oreo has only recently returned from a year long trip to New Zealand and has continued where he left off in late 2005, taking consistant Best of Breed awards. Lets hope that 2007 hold more highlighted results...

14/03/07 - I have just returned from a lovely holiday to Adelaide to attend the Autumn International Show. We flew in last night after spending 5 days in Adelaide with our good friends Kimberley and Sue Marshall of Timokym Cavaliers. I had my boy Oreo "Aust / NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud" entered over the 3 days and we came home with some lovely results. It was great to see some other Japanese Spitz showcasing different lines to what is so regularly seen in South East Queensland. Oreo was awarded Best of Breed 2 out of the 3 days with RUBOB on the 3rd, Oreo showed beautifully on the Saturday (Judge: Mr C. Stefanesu (Romania)) and the Monday (Judge: Mr D. Markus (Canada)), however on the Sunday he was a little misbehaving and was very keen on the toy the other lady had and kept turning around to see what she had... sadly Japanese judges (Judge: Mr S. Hanuae (Japan)) love a dog to show like clock work so we had to be content with teh RUBOB however it was very close nad he took his time choosing.

rule

25/02/07 - Oreo takes another Best of Breed at Killarney Show Society... he is having a nice run at the moment and has received 29 challenge points in 3 shows. The judge actually commented after judging on how sound and well presented Oreo was, she actually had Oreo down as one of her favourites for Group. Always lovely to get back some positive feedback.

rule

20/02/07 - Beaudesert Kennel Club double shows were on this weekend with mixed results. Oreo was awarded Best of Breed against some strong competition at the Championship Show under judge Mrs R. Henderson. Oreo was given a nice look for Best Exhibit in Group and showed beautifully but was beaten by the Dalmation. Oreo was also entered in the Open show (shows for trainee judges) but the judging was very disappointing... however he did win where it counts receiving a 10 point Best of Breed. :)).

rule

11/02/07 - Oreo "Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle o Mud" had his first show back at Beenliegh and District Kennel Club Champ Show and apart from me being a nervous wreck (lol) Oreo did wonderfully and showed his little heart out. Kimyata had another successful evening with Oreo was awarded Best of Breed against some strong competition and our beautiful hombred girl Kimyata Drama Queen taking RU Best of Breed. Was lovely having my security blanket back. :)

rule

19/01/07 - I am excited to announce that Oreo "Aust / NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud" arrived home from his holiday in New Zealand safe and sound last night. Oreo has settled back into our family very well and is my every shadow showering me with kisses and cuddles.

Oreo had a lovely adventure in New Zealand... He was spoilt rotten by his owner Sue who trained him to retrieve the mail and jump into her arms for a cuddle.:)) In the show ring he was unbeaten for Best of Breed and as a stud dog sired 5 litters of puppies with 4 of his children being shown. One of Oreo's daughters recently did well at the NKC Nationals taking Reserve of Breed and Challenge bitch over older dogs with the English judge commenting that the baby puppy (yes she won all this at 4 months and yes in NZ babies go for BOB) will give the adult dogs a run for their money!!!

I look forward to showing Oreo again in 2007, as I have missed my security blanket. <lol>

rule

17/10/06 - Just received word today from Sue of Mondail Japanese Spitz in New Zealand that Oreo "Aust Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud" has now obtained his New Zealand title!!!! I am a very proud of Oreo, he is a wonderful boy and an excellent example of the breed... Oreo has only been shown limited amounts of time due to Sue's work commitments but is to date unbeaten.
Thank you to everyone who supported Oreo in his quest. I eagerly await his return in 2007...

rule

1/06/06 - Oreo received two more Best of Breeds this weekend in NZ (his second weekend of showing)... so I think that leaves him with 3 BOB's to go to get his New Zealand title :) I am missing him very much, can't wait for him to return home.

rule

17/04/06 - Oreo "Aust Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud" attended his first lot of shows in NZ this long Easter weekend taking BEST OF BREED at all 3 shows. There was a good entry of JS, 5 including some Australian Imports.
I think this is was an excellent effort for Sue and Oreo's first shows together, as they wouldn't have been used to each others show styles, but Sue tells me Oreo strutted his stuff like he had never been out of the ring. Sue also tells me she had some lovely comments from the other exhibitors. :)
Sue and Oreo's next show isn't until June. Will keep you posted…

rule

12/02/06 - I have some exciting news... I am pleased to announce that Oreo (Aust Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud) has arrived safe and sound at his holiday home in New Zealand with Sue of Mondial Japanese Spitz. He arrived on Friday afternoon; his only complaint was a popped ear from the flight :) He is on a Stud/Show holiday in New Zealand with hopes of coming home a New Zealand Champion, with some beautiful babies to carry on in his place... It was a sad few days leading up to his departure when everything was starting to sink in, but I know will be in great hands.Keep checking Oreo's page to see his results!!

rule

22/08/05 - The Brisbane Royal Show took place on Friday the 19th, with 14 JS entered. Oreo (Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud) was awarded 1st Australian Bred Dog Class and Reserve Dog CC, under Judge Mr. B Fears (NZ). Was a lovely day for all exhibitors getting to catch up with those who travel from down south for the show.
Sunday the 21st was the Gundog and Heavy Breeds Specialty Show and Oreo was awarded RU Best of Breed under judge Mrs Camac (Vic). Oreo has been having an excellent run lately...

rule

25/07/05 - Oreo (Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud) was awarded Dog Challenge and RU Best of Breed at the Ladies Kennel Ass. Championship Show, under Judge Mrs. C Roberts (NSW). It was an excellent entry with 9 JS entered and all but one of the main exhibitors from Qld there. Oreo's dog challenge was 10 points which, for a JS is excellent. Sadly the BOB bitch was for Australian bred, so that was as far as he went.

rule

17/06/05 - Oreo was awarded AUSTRALIAN BRED IN GROUP under CCCQ president Mrs J. McMurtrie (QLD) at Kalbar Agricultural Show. This was his second group win under Mrs McMurtrie.

rule

12/06/05 - The Winter Carnival took place over the Queens Birthday long weekend and is the two biggest shows, apart from Royal shows, held in SE Queensland with an entry of over 1000 each day.
On the Sunday Oreo was awarded Dog Challenge and RU Best of Breed at the Ipswich Kennel Club Show.
On the Monday Oreo was awarded Dog Challenge and Best of Breed at the Western Suburbs Kennel Club Show. Oreo was also short listed for group in the top 3, but just piped at the post by a Shih Tzu.

rule

13/04/05 - Was very excited today, when my home bred boy Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud was awarded Best Of Breed at the Royal Toowoomba Show... He showed absolutely beautifully and is looking so handsome.

rule

29/08/04 - My mother went on a dog show holiday to far North Qld, and she took along our grand little showman 'Oreo'. I was delighted to receive news that he took out BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP at Thuringowa City Kennel Club. This is his first B.I.G and hopefully not his last.

24/03/04 - Oreo took Runner Up Best Of Breed at the Royal Agricultural Show of Queensland. There were 10 Japanese Spitz entered, so I was totally stoked. Judge: Mr W. Wakfer (Sth Africa).
